Nepal Students' Union (NSU) has staged a protest in front of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) demanding the withdrawal of the price hike in petroleum products.
Nepal Students' Union (NSU) has staged a sit-in protest in front of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) at Babar Mahal in Kathmandu saying that it is not appropriate to increase the price when the daily activities are halted due to the lockdown.
Nepal Students' Union has stated that they have to take to the streets against the government after the government started breaking the backs of the people by increasing the price of food.
General Secretary of the Nepali Union, Manoj Baidya, said that the government had to protest against the price hike in a planned manner in the current situation.
Participants in the demonstration chanted slogans such as 'People should not be killed', 'We don't know much, we don't believe in price rise', 'Sarah is suffering because of the government's mercury'. Earlier, NSU had submitted a memorandum to the corporation against the price hike.
