After the statement of the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given an explanation. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the foreign ministry said that the statement made by the PM about Ayodhya was not political.
On the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti on Saturday, PM Oli had said that real Ayodhya would not fall in India but would fall a little west of Birgunj. But he claimed that India had encroached on the culture by setting up a fake Ayodhya.
His remarks were disputed and given a political color, but the foreign ministry made it clear that his remarks were not to weaken the cultural value of Ayodhya. The statement also said that the PM's statement did not come with the intention to hurt anyone's feelings.
