Another 293 people were confirmed to be infected with the corona virus in Nepal on Sunday.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, said that 299 more people tested positive for the corona virus during tests conducted in various laboratories across the country.
With the addition of 293, the number of infected people in Nepal has reached 15,784.A total of 132 people have been discharged after treatment on Sunday, bringing the number of those discharged to 6,547. Of the total infected, 34 have died.
Spokesperson Dr Gautam said that the infection has been seen in all the districts of the country so far. The ministry, meanwhile, said the presence of corona virus in sewage water did not indicate an infection in the community.
A spokesman for the ministry, Gautam, said the community was infected with the virus and that the virus had spread to other parts of the country.
The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Health Research Council, will also investigate whether there is corona virus in sewage water, informed Gautam. A recent study by an organization found coronavirus bacteria in Kathmandu's sewers.
