The death toll from corona infection reached 14
The death toll from the corona has risen to 14. A 60-year-old man from Waling, Syangja, who was diagnosed with corona infection on Sunday, died on Monday morning. He was undergoing treatment in isolation of Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences, has died.
According to the Gandaki Provincial Health Directorate, the deceased had come to Pokhara from India on May 6 for treatment.
Kamal Pandey, health chief of Walling Municipality, said that he was sent to Pokhara for pre-isolation immediately before the test of corona infection due to kidney and sugar diseases. He was shifted to isolation ward when the infection was confirmed.
Director Sharma said that the work of contact tracing of those who came in contact with him has been started as he was brought to Pokhara from Walling even though he was kept in the quarantine set up by the locals.
The Gandaki Health Directorate said that they have been searching for the wife of the person, the vehicle to be brought from Sunauli to Syangja, the vehicle to be brought from Syangja to Pokhara.
