Chairman of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) have urged for an open discussion on the activities of the party and the government.
At a meeting of the CPN (Maoist) Standing Committee held at the PM's residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday, the two chairpersons urged the members of the standing committee to express their views on the party's activities and government activities.
Prime Minister Oli had said that he was ready to move forward based on the findings of the standing committee after discussing the current workload of the party and the government.
Similarly, another chairman Prachanda also urged all to have an open mind for a comprehensive discussion of the work done by the government so far. He said that the government and the party should move forward by rectifying the weaknesses in the operation.
The meeting has set a seven-point agenda. Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that a seven-point agenda has been decided by the two presidents at the beginning of the meeting.
On the other hand, the Rukum incident that took place a month ago, the Citizenship Bill, the meeting of the parliamentarians and the members of the state assembly will not be taken up. According to spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the next meeting will be held on July 27.
