After 30 years, Liverpool won the English Premier League

Liverpool have won the English Premier League title. Chelsea beat Manchester City in the Premier League on Thursday night to win the Liverpool title.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool would have won just one game to secure the title. But Manchester City lost to Chelsea and could not hold on to Liverpool, so they won the title. This is Liverpool's 19th league title and the first from 1989-90. Despite the city's mayor urging everyone to stay indoors, thousands of Liverpool supporters gathered at Anfield to celebrate.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alison, defender Virgil Van Dyke and midfielder Alex Oxlade celebrated together after the game between Chamberlain City and Chelsea. Between 1973 and 1990, Liverpool won the title 11 times.

City, limited to 10 players, were stunned by Chelsea in Thursday's game. Christian Pulisic gave Chelsea the lead in the first half. However, Kevin de Bruyne equalized early in the second half. Fernandinho received a red card for handball in the 77th minute.

Willian converted a handball penalty to secure Chelsea's victory. Liverpool have won 28 of 31 games in the current edition and collected 86 points. He has drawn two and lost one game.
