Corona control and prevention has so far cost Rs 9.87 billion
The government has so far spent Rs 9.87 billion for the control and prevention of corona.
The Corona Prevention and Control High Level Coordinating Committee has stated that the amount has been spent on the purchase of materials and construction of quarantine for the prevention of corona since the Nepali students were brought home from China immediately after the outbreak of corona.
Out of which, Rs 6.3 billion has been spent from the central level, Rs 1.8 billion from the state level and Rs 2.76 billion from the local level so far, said Narayan Prasad Bidari, spokesperson of the committee and secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.
The work of the Corona Treatment and Control Fund was also discussed, Bidari said. The money in the fund will also be used for corona control and prevention, quarantine and relief whereas, Rs 2.32 billion has been deposited so far, he said.
He informed that he had a discussion with health experts on Wednesday. According to Bidari, it has been suggested by the experts to loosen the lockdown in folding manner.
The committee has stated that discussions will be held with the concerned bodies on Thursday and a blueprint of the new modality of lockdown will be prepared.
