The family report of the first infected deceased is negative
Family members have tested negative for PCR of a 29-year-old pregnant woman from Sindhupalchowk, who died due to corona infection for the first time in Nepal.
"The report of the family members including the baby was negative”, said Administrative Director of Dhulikhel Hospital Dr. Ramesh Makju. The PCR report of the departed's 13-day-old baby and other members of his family came back negative.
As soon as the corona infection was confirmed in the 29-year-old woman, swabs of the deceased's husband, mother and sister were collected along with the baby.
Though report is negative among all family member, they will be kept in 14 days quarantine in coordination with the Kavrepalanchok District Administration Office and Sindhupalchok.
Likewise, the report of the family members including the baby was negative and that four paramedical staff including a doctor who came in contact with the deceased woman at Dhulikhel Hospital would collect the swabs only after five days, said Dr. Ramesh Makju, Administrative Director of Dhulikhel Hospital.
He said that the check-up will be done only after five days to find out the real facts as there is a high possibility of a negative check-up five days ago. The woman, who was discharged on April 9 after normal delivery at Kathmandu Teaching Hospital, was found to have high fever and respiratory problems.
She died on the way to Dhulikhel Hospital from Sindhupalchowk on May 20. The report of RDT and PCR test on suspicion of corona infection came positive on Saturday. Her family members were then tested for PCR.
