Police permitted to fire at COVID 19 patients running from isolation : Parsa
Parsa Police have been allowed to fire at COVID-19 patients trying to run away from isolation.
The administration has taken such a hard decision after two corona infected people escaped from Narayani Hospital in Parsa a few days ago.
A meeting of the Parsa-based Crisis Management Center on Thursday decided to give security personnel the right to shoot if Corona infected people escape from the hospital.
According to Parsa Assistant Chief District Officer Lalit Bahadur Basnet, the security personnel have been given the right to use bowls and even fire as needed to control the infected escapee.
Last Wednesday, two corona infected people escaped from the hospital under the excuse of going to the toilet. Police had taken them under control while they were walking on the road and brought them back to the hospital.
At present, 71 infected people are undergoing treatment at Narayani Hospital in Parsa. The quarantine of Siddhartha School has been kept as a semi-isolation ward for the 19 students.
