Ministry of Health Press Conference
Corona infection has been confirmed in two more people in Rautahat. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Vikas Devkota informed through a regular press conference that the two infected people came from India.
According to the Ministry of Health, test conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Teku, Kathmandu confirmed the corona infection. A 24-year-old man from Brindavan Municipality from Calcutta has infected corona on March 7.
The other infected person is a 35-year-old man from Dewahi Gonahi Municipality. He also came from Delhi on April 19. With the addition of two corona infections on Tuesday, the number of corona infections has reached 54 and so far, 16 people have returned home after treatment, said spokesperson Devkota.
He said that 54,826 people have been tested for corona so far and 107 people have been tested for isolation. Currently, the most infected with coronavirus are being treated in Biratnagar.
Similarly, one person is undergoing treatment in Chitwan and one in Dhangadhi. He said that there are now three active cases of coronavirus infection in Birgunj.
