The government has decided to extend the ongoing lockdown till May 19.
A cabinet meeting held at the PM's residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday decided to add Lockdown by May 19.
The ongoing lockdown was coming to an end on April 10. The government has extended the lockout as the number of corona cases has increased recently and neighboring India has also extended the lockdown till May 17.
The meeting decided to close the international border till May 30, said government spokesperson Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada.
Similarly, the ban on international and domestic flights has been extended till June 30.
Earlier, the ban was issued till May 20. Similarly, the government has urged the people to take public leave on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti on Thursday, April 9 and to light lamps in the evening, said spokesperson Khatiwada.
