As per the previous commitment, the Chinese government has provided medical equipment related to the prevention and control of COVID-19 to Nepal.
On Monday, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal HauYanchi handed over the medical supplies to Health Minister BhanubhaktaDhakal at the Ministry of Health.Yanchi handed over 40,000 PCR kits for corona testing.
Similarly, 20,000 N95 masks, 800,000 surgical masks, 10,000 medical glasses and other medical supplies have been handed over.The goods were brought to Kathmandu on Friday and Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Dhakal said that materials provided by China to fight corona infection would be sent to the affected areas. Expressing gratitude for the support of the Chinese government, he said that Nepal-China relations were historic.
Ambassador Yanchi said that the availability of this material was possible in coordination with China-Nepal Solidarity. He also said that it was important for both the countries and the people to move forward unitedly against the infection of COVID-19.
