CPN Secretariat meeting
The meeting of the Standing Committee of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has become uncertain.
The meeting itself became uncertain after the chairpersons KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) informed the leaders at the secretariat meeting held in Baluwatar on Wednesday that they could not prepare a consensus proposal as per the decision of the 20th.
Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that the two chairpersons will decide what to do about the agenda of the meeting.
Spokesperson Shrestha said that the two chairpersons had informed that the homework was still being done for the standing committee as per the decision of the secretariat.
While the secretariat meeting was going on, the Prime Minister and Chairman Oli went out to rest.
Spokesperson Shrestha said that there was a provision for everyone to sit in the meeting if possible and leave the meeting if not. The party had called a meeting of the standing committee for 11 am on Thursday.
Dispute has erupted in the CPN (Maoist) after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli issued two ordinances on April 22 without consulting the party.
Even though both the ordinances were withdrawn on April 26, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal have been seen as aggressive towards Prime Minister Oli.
