President Bidhyadevi Bhandari, who is on a state visit to Bangladesh, and her Bangladeshi counterpart Mohammad Abdul Hamid held bilateral talks last night.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Pradip Kumar Gyawali, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dr. AK Abdul, Nepal's Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Vansidhar Mishra including high-ranking officials of both countries were present.
After the meeting, they attended a cultural program and dinner hosted by President Hamid at the same building.
Memorandum of understanding on tourism, culture, sanitation and transit was exchanged between two countries in the presence of Bhandari and Hamid after a meeting at Bangladesh President's residence Bang Bhawan on Monday night.
President Bhandari arrived in Dhaka on Monday morning at the friendly invitation of Bangladeshi President Hamid on the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangladesh's Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
President Bhandari addressed the gathering as a special guest on 'Nepal-Bangladesh Relations and Centenary of the Birth of Bangabandhu' held at the National Parade Square in Dhaka.
Earlier, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also paid a courtesy call on President Bhandari.
