Supreme Court has decided to reinstate the case against the dissolution of House of Representatives.
Constitutional Bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra and Justices Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, Anil Kumar Sinha, Sapna Malla Pradhan and Tej Bahadur KC on Tuesday ruled to re-establish House of Representatives.
Supreme Court has stated that it has issued an order to convene a parliamentary session within 13 days.
One of the writ petitioners, Kirtinath Sharma Poudel, said that Supreme Court had decided to reinstate Prime Minister as he did not have the right to dissolve House of Representatives as per Article 76, Clause 7 of the Constitution.
Issue-based debate started in Constitutional Court on Sunday, January 19 and the hearing of all parties was completed on the same day.
House of Representatives was dissolved by President on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on December 20 and the date of next election was announced on April 3 and 4.
