Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal has said that Prithvinarayan Shah, hero of nation building and unification campaign, is a worthy guardian of common Nepali.
Speaking at a seminar on 'Prithvinarayan Shah and the Unification of Nepal' organized by Nepal Pragya Pratisthan on the occasion of Prithvinarayan Shah's 299th birth anniversary and National Unity Day, 2077 BS, Minister Dhakal said that every Nepali will always remember Prithvinarayan's contribution.
Minister Dhakal also pointed out the need to expose Prithvinarayan's inspiration to the general public to make nation lasting.
Minister Dhakal informed that a development committee would be formed and promoted with the objective of developing country as a tourist destination by conserving archeological heritage and sites associated with Prithvinarayan Shah's unification campaign.
Minister Dhakal said that there was no confusion or dilemma towards Hinduism in the new constitution even though federal democratic republic was established with the agreement of fateful monarchy.
Meanwhile, foundation has organized a week-long book exhibition on the occasion of Unity Day. Exhibition was inaugurated at Bhanubhakta Room of Pragya Bhawan in Kamaladi by Upreti.
