Thapa, who joined the sugarcane farmers' agitation at Maitighar on Saturday, said that he would immediately take the initiative saying that the remaining amount of sugarcane farmers should be paid immediately.
He informed that there is unity in the movement and demand of sugarcane farmers. He said that his party would also help in addressing the problem of sugarcane farmers.
Sugarcane farmers had staged protest at Maitighar in Kathmandu on Saturday saying that they had not received their dues for a long time. Sugarcane farmers have been demanding implementation of the agreement reached with the government and sugar mill operators for raising money.
