The odd even system imposed on public and private vehicles will be removed in Kathmandu Valley.
The decision was taken at a meeting of government bodies and representatives of various transport businessmen and trade unions held at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu on Thursday.
After the agreement was reached, all public and private vehicles are allowed to ply on the roads from tomorrow. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, informed that it has been decided to allow all public and private vehicles to operate following the prescribed health standards.
He said that the odd even system imposed had to be removed as the traffic congestion on the roads of Kathmandu was increasing day by day.
