Newly appointed Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has said that the potential of the energy sector should be promoted to advance the development and prosperity of the country.
Restoring his post in the ministry on Sunday, Minister Rayamajhi said that the country is moving ahead in the field of export even though it is still not self-sufficient in energy.
Minister Rayamajhi instructed the staffs to work in line with the goal for the prosperity and development of the country. Minister Rayamajhi also said that there is a plan to increase energy production and consumption in the coming days.
He said that the issues related to the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) were in favor of the country and urged for cooperation in the implementation rather than creating controversy.
Minister Rayamajhi said that it was necessary to move ahead by making a plan after examining potential of the irrigation sector. He said that the country was in a difficult situation and that it was necessary to move forward by cooperating on the path of development.
