Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiribabu Maharjan has said that there has been a delay in the reconstruction of properties contracted by government. This was stated by Mayor Shakya at a program organized by Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lalitpur on Sunday.
Mayor Maharjan said that reconstruction work of four temples including Jagat Mahadev Temple of Shankhamul and Rato Manchhindranath in Lalitpur has been delayed. Mayor Maharjan mentioned that construction of Bhimsen temple, which was rebuilt locally, has been expedited. Mayor Maharjan informed that metropolis has also given priority to the construction of historic patipowwa in the city.
Maharjan also expressed his commitment to take initiative to continue closed Layeku Paya: related to Patan Darbar area. In the program, Khadga Paya: People who played a role in organizing Jatra were honored and a book containing information about it was made public.
