Campaigners have started feeding in Thapathali after Kathmandu Metropolitan City stopped the campaign of free food feeding in Khullamanch.
Organizations including The Hundred Group have continued the campaign of providing free food in open space in Thapathali, Kathmandu from Wednesday. In Thapathali, they have been fed twice a day in the morning and evening.
KMC had asked to stop the campaign of feeding in the open from November 20, saying that it would be dirty and not only risk of Covid 19 infection but also other diseases.
It has been said that construction of toilets, drinking water, garbage dump and other infrastructures will be done by metropolis. Metropolis has been saying that there is a policy of giving free food to those who are not able to work and those who are able to work is given work.
