Metropolitan Traffic Police has stated that work is being done as per the plan to make traffic management of the valley technology friendly.
Chief of Division, Senior Superintendent of Police Bhim Prasad Dhakal said that traffic lights and CCTV cameras have been installed on the main roads of Kathmandu Valley to make traffic management technology-friendly.
Dhakal also informed that work is being done as per government's plan to make traffic management technology friendly. Dhakal said that action would be taken against those violating traffic rules by making maximum use of CCTV cameras in Kathmandu Valley.
Senior Superintendent of Police Dhakal informed that there is a plan to pay fines online for violating traffic rules.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotarian scientist Raj Sharma said that the street lights have been installed in collaboration with the department as there is a problem of traffic lights in busy places in the valley.
Traffic police has installed traffic lights at 26 places in Kathmandu Valley in coordination with various agencies.
