Let's further expand the tradition and knowledge of medicinal Nepali cuisine: Prime Minister Oli

 

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that government is working on disaster risk reduction and setting specific goals, objectives, policies and action plans.

In a virtual program organized by National Disaster Risk Reduction National Working Group on the occasion of International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli clarified that three levels of government are moving ahead by formulating an action plan.

Prime Minister Oli said that work will be done for safe and civilized mankind, safe world, livable, just and prosperous land and happy mankind.

Urging all levels and streams to work for the face of natural calamities, PM Oli expressed his commitment to work with national and international organizations to reduce and cope with the disaster risk.

On the occasion, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa stressed on the need to face the disaster risk posed by COVID-19 with full force and conscience.

This year's theme for the day was 'Disaster Risk Reduction Friendly Good Governance, Our Campaign for a Secure Future'. Nepal is on the list of high risk countries in terms of disaster risk.
