Dolpo Buddha Guru Ranak Tulku Rinchen Rinpoche's Fifth Autari Lama has called for an end to animal killing and violence in the name of gods and goddesses during Dashain. Buddha Guru Dolpo said that many people used to slaughter animals in the name of gods and goddesses for food during Dashain, Chhath, Lhosar and other festivals.
Stating that Nepal is known as the poorest country in the world economically, Dolpo Buddha Guru stressed on the need to stop slaughter in the country where Buddha was born and become a vegetarian as much as possible. Dolpo Buddha Guru said that one cannot be happy just by killing others and eating meat. Dolpo Buddha Guru said that it would be a great religion to help and donate to the poor, unhappy and corona patients who have not been able to get food due to the high cost of goats.
Dolpo Buddha Guru also suggested celebrating Dashain with the family by following health standards set by the World Health Organization and government as there is a risk of corona infection this year. Dolpo Buddha Guru also expressed his best wishes to all Nepalese on the occasion of Dashain.
