Wreaths have been laid at Republic Monument at the Narayanhiti Durbar Museum premises on the occasion of Constitution Day-2077 BS.
On Saturday, CPN (Maoist) leader Subash Nemwang and Tourism Minister Yagesh Bhattarai Lagaet laid a wreath at Republic Monument.
Other CPN (Maoist) leaders also participated in the event. A memorial has been erected at the site in memory of those who lost their lives, mutilated and disappeared for the establishment of the republic.
After wreath-laying, they also observed the Republic Memorial Park. The Republic Monument was constructed as a symbol of the people's movement, the exit of monarchy and arrival of the republic.
The memorial is located in an area of 35 ropanis including the park.
