Locals have protested demanding the release of the youths arrested while pulling Machhindranath's chariot.
They were removed by police on Monday after they tried to surround the district administration office in Lalitpur. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.
Earlier on Thursday, there was a scuffle between the police and the youths pulling the chariot in Pulchowk. Police had arrested some of the victims, including the traffic police. Some of those arrested have been released, while others have been detained on public charges.
