Road collapses between Muglin and Narayanghat

Mugling-Narayanghat road-section is frequently on the news for road obstructions due to landslides and hours of delay in movement of vehicles. After maintenance and upgradation last year, that was supposed to come to an end.

However, that does not seem to be the case.

The road has collapsed at Satra Kilo causing the road to be operated only one-way and efforts are being made to resume two way traffic movement. The size of 3.5 meters wide, 35 meters long and approximately 1 feet of road has collapsed.

This section of road is crucial because it connects Kathmandu with most parts of the country and has a daily traffic of about 10000 vehicles.
