Pillar for border demarcation near Thori on Indo-Nepal border Uprooted

On Saturday, Pillar No. 436 for border demarcation near Thori located on the Indo-Nepal border was uprooted. There has been  an uproar because this pillar is  located near the cave of Sita.

On Monday, Nepali PM and President are expected to come near Sita Cave in Thori, Nepal. However, this has not been confirmed yet. The people of the Indian region are surprised by the coincidence of the possibility of the arrival of the Nepali PM-President and the uprooting of the pillar.

Kumar said that Pillar was safe at his place till Saturday afternoon. Later in the afternoon, it was found fallen at the same place. The eviction of pillar was revealed after the SSB team reached the spot on the information of the people of Bhikhanathori.

The matter has been reported to the higher authorities. The uprooted pillar is being monitored. The officer at the scene believes that the pillar was firmly buried.

He said that it was only possible to be uprooted by many people. The Indian side has said that the pillar will be buried again at the same place after instructions from the senior officials Speculations of Nepali PM and/or President to visit the area tomorrow

The speculation  of the Nepalese Prime Minister and the President coming to Thori on the Indo-Nepal border on Monday is in full swing. Information from sources across the border has told that Nepalese President and Prime Minister Sita will go to the cave and lay the foundation stone of the temple. However, this has not been officially confirmed.

 

Border sources say that pillar has been uprooted probably for the construction of a temple.  An official  said that after the demolition of pillar number 436 for border demarcation, a lot of space has become vacant there.
