It has been agreed to provide relief of one lakh rupees to the family of Rajkumar Praja who was beaten to death by the army while searching for ‘ghungi’. After the agreement, his relatives have agreed to collect Rajkumar’s body.
Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that it was agreed to provide relief of rupees one lakh to his family after a discussion held at the District Administration Office, Chitwan on Saturday.
Similarly, the park will provide assistance for the upbringing of children. According to Bhattarai, the park has also agreed to build their house.
Rajkumar, who had gone to search for ‘ghungi’ with the locals, was beaten by the army of Ligligey Post in the park. He was critically injured in the beating and died on August 25.
Locals were agitating demanding action against the soldier involved and providing relief to the victim's family. They had refused to collect the body.The postmortem of the body will be done on Sunday after the agreement.
