Educationist and social worker Angur Baba Joshi has passed away at the age of 89 on Saturday.
She died at the Neuro Hospital in Bansbari, Kathmandu while undergoing treatment.
Joshi had been undergoing treatment at the Neuro Hospital for three years due to a chest infection. She was the first female campus head of Nepal. Joshi's face was crooked when she was diagnosed with cancer in her throat 17 years ago.
When King Mahendra formed a four-member constitution drafting committee in 2019 BS, Joshi was participating as a single woman member. Her last rites were performed at Pashupati on Saturday.
