With the opening of government and non-government offices in Kathmandu 83 days after the lockdown, traffic congestion has increased on the roads of Kathmandu.
The government has opened government offices since Monday, changing the modalities of the lockdown for corona control. As per the decision of the government, government offices are open in two shifts from Monday.
The offices have come into operation in two shifts from 8 am to 1 pm and from 1 pm to 6 pm. Along with government offices, non-government offices, banks and financial institutions have also come into operation.
With the loosening of the lockdown, the traffic pressure on the road has also increased. Despite the government's decision to operate the vehicles according to the odd even system, the traffic has increased with the operation of the offices.
Even though the lockdown is open, the most crowded places, educational institutions, all flights except the permitted ones, assembly conventions and other areas are closed. Pedestrian traffic is open.
