The Federation of Dalit Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) has released a brief on-site study report on the Soti incident in Jajarkot and Rukum pashchim and the murder of Rupandehi Devdaha Angira Pasi.
The federation made the study report public at a press conference in Kathmandu on Friday. The report states that this is the first time in the history of Nepal that such a large-scale genocide has taken place due to caste discrimination and un-touch ability.

JB Bishwakarma, coordinator of the study team, who is also the general secretary of the federation, said that the incident took place due to caste discrimination. He demanded that the culprit of this incident should be sentenced to life imprisonment.
He said that the root cause of the incident was caste discrimination and demanded justice from the government.The team had conducted a field study from June 10 to June 12.
