'Appropriation Bill 2077' has been approved in the House of Representatives
The second meeting of the House of Representatives was held on Monday. The proposal to consider the bill presented by Yuvaraj Khatiwada in the parliament was approved by the majority.
During the theoretical discussion on the bill before it was passed, the lawmakers said that attention should be paid to the control of the corona and the safety of the citizens affected by it.
In response to the MP's query, Finance Minister Dr.Khatiwada clarified that the current budget is focused on the health sector.
He informed that an additional Rs. 5 billion has been disbursed for the purchase of health items and Rs. 2.31 billion has been deposited in the relief fund to prevent Covid-19 infection.
He also urged the lawmakers to criticize based on the facts. Criticism based on facts will be encouraged, Khatiwada said.
Speaker Agni Sapkota informed that the ministry-wise budget will be discussed on May 7, 8 and 9 as soon as the Appropriation Bill 2077 is passed.
The next meeting of the House of Representatives has been convened at 11 a.m. on Friday.
