Action against those who destroy vegetables and fruits
The Parliamentary Committee has directed the government to take immediate action against those who destroy vegetables and fruits under the pretext of Agriculture Committee Corona.
The Parliamentary Committee on Agricultural Cooperatives and Natural Resources, which met in Singha Durbar on Thursday, directed the government to take immediate action against those who destroyed vegetables and fruits in large numbers in different parts of the country.
The committee has also directed the government to provide necessary relief and compensation to the farmers affected by the Corona problem. Direction is given.
The meeting also directed the government to provide quality grains to the poultry farmers and instructed the government to monitor the quality of the poultry farmers.
During the meeting, Minister for Agriculture Ghanshyam Bhushal informed that an action plan is being formulated to provide relief to the farmers.
He said that the government was focused on providing fertilizer to the farmers and marketing it, adding that there was no need to despair.
Similarly, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa said that there would be no obstruction in the transportation of fruits and vegetables.
At the meeting, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Lekhraj Bhatta said that there would be no impediment in the export of essential food items. He mentioned that action would be taken against those who obstructed the transportation and supply of basic food items.
The committee meeting has also directed the Ministry of Industry to prevent adulteration of food items during lockdown and to monitor it continuously.
