A powerful Ampun cyclone is coming
A powerful cyclone named Ampun is coming to Nepal from the Bay of Bengal. At this time, Cyclone Ampun has accumulated its clot in the central part of the Bay of Bengal.
As the cyclone Ampun has become very strong, its consequences will be acute in Nepal for a few days, according to the Weather Forecast Division.
Ganga Nagarkoti, a meteorologist at the Division, said that the cyclone will enter Nepal as the weather in eastern Nepal changes from Tuesday. According to him, the speed of the cyclone is moving northwest.
Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar said that the impact of the cyclone will be curtail after it touches the ground. Coming from the Bay of Bengal, it will crash into the high mountains of eastern Nepal and fall into central Nepal.
According to him, Cyclone Ampun is moving north-west at a speed of 13 kilometers per hour passing through Orissa, India. He said its speed could reach 180 kilometers per hour on Tuesday.
Preliminary preparations have been made to prevent damage to the cyclone in Indian territory. For this, seven defense teams have been mobilized in West Bengal and 10 in Orissa.
Meteorologists estimate that the cyclone, which enters Nepal during the pre-monsoon season, could activate other meteorological systems as well, creating the necessary conditions for the monsoon to begin in Nepal.
It has been asked to be aware as the hailstorm that comes with it can further affect people's lives. Meteorologists suggest that residents of the eastern and central hills should be more anxious as they are coming through the eastern hills.
