Instruct the government not to reduce the allowance received by single women
The Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights under the House of Representatives has directed the government not to reduce the allowance received by single women.
A committee meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday directed the government to introduce a bill to amend the Social Security Act 2075 in the current session of the parliament to continue the social security allowance being distributed to helpless single women and persons with disabilities.
The meeting also directed the Ministry of Health to make arrangements for conducting PCR tests at the community level to identify corona.
Similarly, the government has been instructed to systematically rescue the stranded and foreign nationals in the border areas and to make the quarantine standards in Nepal in accordance with the WHO.
In the meeting, the committee members were of the view that there should be no delay in repatriating Nepalese living abroad.
He also called on the government to control the increase in incidents of violence in Lockdown.
Stating that serious attention has been drawn to the incidents of violence, discrimination and untouchability during the pandemic, the committee meeting has also directed the government to immediately investigate such incidents and take action against the culprits.
