Industry Committee meeting
The parliamentary committee is going to take information from the government about the condition of Nepali workers who have gone for foreign employment due to the lockdown.
The Committee on Industry, Commerce, Labor and Consumer Affairs under the Federal Parliament held in Singha Durbar on Sunday decided to discuss with the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the situation of those who have lost their jobs and are in trouble outside Nepal.
Committee member Bimal Srivastava informed that the committee has decided to hold discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Labor.
Similarly, the committee has decided to take information about the impact of post-transaction lockdown on the industry sector.
For that, he will take information from the Finance Minister and the Minister of Industry, said Chairman Srivastava.
During the meeting, the lawmakers said that the biggest problem after the lockdown was faced by the industry and its workers and suggested that next year's budget should address it.
He also stressed on the need to solve the problems in the agricultural sector and small-scale industries.
